<p>The FCS is an institution founded by the&nbsp;government&nbsp;of the republic of Serbia and exists to&nbsp;provide professional assistance to filmmakers. As a national film center, they want to promote Serbian national film and creativity. This is done by&nbsp;encouraging development, production, distribution, display, and finance&nbsp;of&nbsp;both local and foreign films, as well as by promoting&nbsp;young authors and filmmakers. The FCS&nbsp;collects&nbsp;financial resources that&nbsp;are&nbsp;distributed through open competitions in order to encourage filmmaking, and also encourage Serbian producers to endeavor into international co-productions.
